Black Folkx Deserve a Space to Breathe:
“We deserve more when we are alive.”-Erika Hart.
Do you hunger for a space to affirm your whole self, decompress in light of the recent Black murders, and speak about ways to maintain your mental health during this time of intense grieving, mourning, and outrage? As a company and mental health practice who is committed to upholding anti-racist ideals and to showing up for the Black community, we are offering our latest FREE program called Black Folkx Deserve a Space to Breathe: Process Group.
Black Folkx Deserve a Space to Breathe will be led by graymatters’ psychotherapist, Sabrina Sarro LMSW, MFA Candidate, whose own Blackness is contended with every day, and this group will ONLY be centered around Black-identified folkx. It will be a way for individuals to check-in with themselves and other Black folkx regarding what has been showing up for them, and it will also offer ways to work on centering/finding Black joy during this time of anger and to move forward with resilience. This group will begin on Monday, June 22nd, 2020 and will be ongoing on Mondays from 5:30-6:30pm EST. Participants can come to one or multiple sessions, as it will be an open group.
For more information or to register, please call 917-740-5287 or email Sabrina at firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration via email or phone is required at least one week in advance of each session.
