(they/them/theirs)

Lead Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor

I am a Black/mixed race, intersex/non-binary/trans*, queer and disabled heart worker and relational psychotherapist. I am most invested in supporting my clients in finding grounding, ease, and sanctuary; in processing life’s scar tissue; and in finding accessible and pleasurable ways to cultivate thriving. I work alongside you to support and challenge you in re-imagining what’s possible. I use a mixture of creative, psycho-spiritual, and evidence-based modalities that are person-centered, intersectional, culturally-sustaining, and trauma-informed. I hold over 7 years of expertise in Autism, Borderline Personality Disorder, Attachment Theory, all types of couple-doms, partnerships, and families, as well as working with clients around sex, boundaries, intuition, gender, race, and relationship patterns. I have extensive training in DBT,  trauma-informed CBT, EMDR, The Enneagram, and various couples’ modalities including the Gottman Method.

Specialties

Sabrina has extensive experience working with all types of persons and partnerships. Aside from working with individuals, they work with all types of coupledoms and partnerships (including poly, poly-adjacent, and non-monogamous), as well as roommates, business partners, etc. They work within a BDSM/Kink/GSM lens, and they identify within those communities themself. They primarily employ Somatic, DBT, CBT, IFS, EFT, and Gottman techniques, as well as other psycho-spiritual tools, drawing upon the Enneagram, MBTI, Astrology, Nen, and Human Design. Sabrina also has extensive experience in body and movement work, as well as mindfulness. They are a multi-modal practitioner and draw upon several frameworks to support healing for their clients. They work hard to make sure their clients heal.

They prioritize and love to work within their own communities, including Black, BIPOC, TGNC*, and LGBTQIA* folx, as well as those who identify as Highly Sensitive Persons, Psychics, Intuits, Water-Benders, and Empaths. Sabrina is a deep lover of anything having to do with the Enneagram and uses their identity as a creative curator in their sessions. Using their strengths and assets as a spirit exfoliator and wizard (terms they have come up with themselves), Sabrina loves to incorporate spiritual typing mechanisms and modalities into their work and believes that many of these systems can help us better understand our emotional DNA. While these systems are always subject to the individual’s perception and expertise on themselves (Sabrina advocates that every client is the expert of their own body/narrative/selfhood) – they also believe these systems can help us further co-create or reflect upon our spiritual blueprints.

Sabrina also works with individuals who meet the “diagnostic” criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder and Dissociative Identity Disorder. They aim to destigmatize these specific mental health experiences and refrain from calling them “personality disorders.” Using a radically empathic and intersectional lens, Sabrina believes that we cannot talk about BPD and DID without also speaking about trauma, race, class, body, ability, etc. Through being a certified DBT professional and a certified trauma professional with extensive experience working with Autistic, Neurodivergent, and Queer people – they specialize in working with people to support them with executive functioning, task management, goal-setting, and insight around behavioral mapping; to develop healthier attachment styles; and to cultivate more awareness around their relational and love languages.

Other Interests

Sabrina loves Astrology (including Sidereal, Tropical, Hellenistic, and Vedic). They believe deeply in the psycho-spiritual validity of the planets and the cosmology of the universe, as well as the ability for Astrology to be instrumental in therapy. They are well-versed in different types of Astrology, and have completed a one-year certification course through Nightlight Astrology called “Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic.” They also love the Human Design and MBTI and gushes over culturally accessible personality typing systems.

Sabrina holds a MFA in Nonfiction/Memoir and is skilled in facilitating narrative processing therapy, as well as using a variety of creative writing techniques to process trauma and access catharsis.

Sabrina believes deeply in nature, environmental justice, the power of the moon, and the power of herbs and plant healing. They also care deeply about Caribbean mental health, anything having to do with Haiti, and animals.

Sabrina identifies as a chronically ill person and experiences two autoimmune disorders, including PCOS. They firmly believe in fighting for all menstruating people to have access to intersectional, trauma-sensitive healthcare. They understand what it is like to live with debilitating chronic conditions that affect mood, hormones, energy, body, and body presentation. Their view is that the body and health inform healing – and they have extensive knowledge of PCOS, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, intersex spectrum conditions, and other conditions that affect the pelvic floor, gut microbiome, hormones, and the overall body. Sabrina has specialty training in pelvin pain issues of all kinds and is skilled in facilitating CBT modalities for chronic pain. They care about disability politics and non-visible illnesses. They especially care about this in the context of the most oppressed, including Black folx/dark-skinned folx/femmes/TGNC folx).
